Fix-It/Home Repairs

Small repairs can make a big difference in helping people feel safe and supported at home.

Our Fix-It Program connects skilled volunteers with community members who need help with minor home repairs or safety upgrades. Whether it’s installing grab bars, tightening a wobbly handrail, or fixing a leaky faucet, we focus on simple fixes that improve accessibility, comfort, and peace of mind.

We prioritize repairs that support health, safety, and independence, especially for those who may not have the means or mobility to do the work themselves.

To ensure quality and care:

All Fix-It volunteers are background-checked and matched based on skill level and project needs.

Each request begins with an assessment to confirm it’s something we can safely take on with volunteer support.

We may be able to provide basic materials or accept donations to help cover costs.

If you need help with a small project—or you’re handy and want to give back—reach out and let us know. We love fixing things, and we’re even better at showing people they’re not alone!
